DAY 1 Arrival to Colombia

DAY 2 Muisca prehispanic culture

  • Breakfast in the hotel Trip to Guatavita lagoon Entrance to the parkand indigenous ritual Guided on the lagoon Trip to Zipaquirá (nerby town) Typical lunch of the region Guided tour to Salt Cathedral Return to Bogotá Meeting with instructions for the following days A thematic dinner: traditional Colombian cooking workshop

DAY 3 Welcome to the jungle

  • Breakfast in the hotel Transfer to the airport for the flight to Amazon Arrival in Leticia Transfer to ecological park Mundo Amazónico Typical lunch of the region Guided tour through the park and other destinations Transfer to the cabins In the trees, located 1 hour from Leticia Path through the nocturnal jungle Dinner and cabin accommodation on the jungle

DAY 4 Great Amazon River

  • Breakfast Departure, walking to the Leticia port. Visit to the Amazonian fruit market. Boarding in touristic boats. One hour tour on the Amazon River. Arrival at the Tikuna community of Mocagua. Guided tour through the community. After a 40-minute walk through the jungle, visit at the Maicuchiga foundation created for the protection of primates. Return to the community where lunch will be at Payavaru restaurant, an initiative of indigenous women. Departure by boat to the Tikuna community of San Martín of Amacayacu, approximately 40 minutes. Accommodation in houses of indigenous hosts. At the end of the afternoon, bathing in the river as the traditional way of the settlers. Dinner. Night boat tour on the Amacayacu river to experience fragrances and sounds of the nocturnal jungle.

DAY 5 Tikuna Culture

  • Very early, walk to the Chagra (indigenous gardens) to collect the food for the day. Breakfast at home with indigenous hosts. 3 hour walk through the jungle, crossing the different strata of the forest. Lunch and time to rest. At the end of the afternoon: a mystical encounter with artisan women to make clay workshops, weaving fibers and natural dyes. Bathing in the river Traditional cook workshop, sharing knowledge and culinary flavors of indigenous Tikuna culture. Overnight stay.

DAY 6 Amazonian landscape

  • Breakfast Baggage preparation Departure by traditional boat to the municipality of Puerto Nariño, 2 hours tour through the Amacayacu and Amazonas rivers Accomodation in hotel Waira Selva Lunch and pedestrian route through the municipality of Puerto Nariño Magical sunset in the Tarapoto Lakes, with possible pink and gray dolphin watching. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight stay

DAY 7 From the Amazon rainforest to the Caribbean sea

  • Breakfast in hotel Rapid boat trip back to Leticia Free time to buy handicrafts Lunch in hotel Waira Suites Flight: Leticia - Bogota - Santa Marta In the night arrival in the city Transfer to hotel Tequendama In Santa Marta accomodation on Hotel Tequendama. Dinner at own expense

DAY 8 Bordering Sierra nevada

  • Typical Caribbean breakfast at the hotel We begin a land journey through the trunk of Caribbean coast, towards the enigmatic Guajira, we will make this journey through the foothills of the Sierra Nevada De Santa Marta. Strategic stops to have contact with the indigenous communities who inhabit the Sierra. Typical Wayú lunch in Uribia, the indigenous capital of Colombia Departure to Cabo de La Vela Sunset at Playa Dorada and Pilón de Azúcar Accommodation in ranchería (traditional accomodation) in beds or hammocks at the seashore After dinner, around the fire, we can share stories and traditions with the local villagers

DAY 9 Desert, sea and Wayú culture in Punta Gallinas and Cabo de la Vela

  • Breakfast at the ranchería Departure to Puerto Bolívar Visit to Wind Farm Pass by Portete Bay Visit to Honda and Hondita bay Boat trip to Punta Gallinas Lunch Rest time in hammocks by the sea, at the northernmost point of South America. At the end of the afternoon, a walk to the lighthouse to see the sunset Dinner and traditional dances of the Wayuú culture Accommodation in hammocks or beds

DAY 10 Living the desert

  • Breakfast at the ranchería. Tour by high Guajira. Punta Gallinas and Medanos de Taroa. Lunch. Afternoon to enjoy the lonesome beaches of Punta Aguja and weaving workshop with the women of the community. Traditional cooking workshop, sharing knowledge and culinary flavors of the indigenous Wayuu culture. Accommodation in hammocks or beds.

DAY 11 Punta Gallinas - Rioacha - Bogotá

  • Breakfast at the ranchería in Punta Gallinas Return to Riohacha Lunch and guided tour at the tourist pier for buying handicrafts At the end of the afternoon, flight: Riohacha – Bogota Arrival in Bogota Transfer to the selected hotel Dinner at own expense

DAY 12 Bogotá coffee and culture

  • Breakfast in hotel In the morning, guided tour through the historic center of La Candelaria Coffee tasting and view of the Gold Museum or National Museum (depending on the itinerary of international flights) Traditional Santafereño lunch Transfer to the airport Accomodation in Hotel Boutique La Campana Dinner at own expense

DAY 13 Pacific rainforest

  • Breakfast in the hotel Transfer to Olaya Herrera airport Local flight to Nuquí Accomodation on Cabañas de Amelia Relaxing time on Pacific Ocean and lunch in Hotel Walk by Nuquí beaches and visit to the town with local hosts Lunch and accomodation

DAY 14 Nuquí - Tribugá Flavour from the Chocó rainforest

  • Breakfast on cabins Walk by the beach until the small settlement of Tribugá Two hours walk will show us the beautiful landscape, its people and the plenty of its lonesome beaches Arriving to the settlement we will do a trip throug the mangroves. After one and half hour a motorcycle will take us again to Nuquí to have a wonderful lunch on the afternoon. At the end of afternoon there will be a free time to enjoy the wonderful beaches Traditional food workshop sharing knowledge of african – colombian cuisine

DAY 15 Nuquí - Whale Watching (August to October) or pathway to the Olympic beach

  • If the trip is made between the months of August and October this day will include a boat trip to go Yubarta whale watching If the trip is at another time of the year, you will travel by boat through exotic beaches Lunch in Coqui: The flavors of the Pacific come together in this gastronomic encounter where the essence of the sea, vegetable spices and culinary tradition of its inhabitants merge In the afternoon return to accommodation and rest Dinner

DAY 16 Return to Bogotá

  • Nuquí - Medellín - Bogotá From the Pacific to the capital Breakfast in the cabins Flight: Nuqui – Medellín Transfer to Rio Negro airport Flight: Medellín – Bogotá Transfer to selected hotel This day, lunch and dinner are at own expense
